A few months ago when my sister was pregnant, I knew that my upcoming role as an aunt would encompass many other roles. A shoulder to cry on (or yell at…) when Krista had a difficult day, someone to spoil the baby rotten, and of course, a built in babysitter. So when Krista asked me to accompany her, Greg, and miss Emma to North Carolina for an upcoming wedding (free vacation!) I of course said yes.
Thursday afternoon we packed up the car and headed north for the weekend. Krista was looking forward to seeing her old friends from college, and I couldn’t wait for a weekend of baby snuggling and North Carolina weather. And of course, I brought my camera 🙂
As I was talking to the bride the night before the wedding, she told me that she didn’t hire her photographer to take pictures of the bridal party getting ready. “Well….” I said…”I have my camera. I’ll take some shots for you.” (Trying to hide my giddyness) You see, as a photographer (and lover of all things pretty), I love have a slight obsession with details. So I spent Saturday morning with some lovely ladies, snapping shots of all the details of getting ready.
