2014 Goals & Wishes

On New Years Eve, amongst fighting crowds and watching fireworks, I saw a fortune teller.  I was walking through Mallory Square in Key West, something that I have done dozens of times growing up in the Keys, when my dad’s girlfriend suggested I get my palm read.  It just felt right, so I did.  And she told me some pretty amazing things were headed my way in 2014.  And, regardless of whether or not she is gifted with the sight of the future, I have a feeling that 2014 will be my best year yet.

Someone once told me that if you say your goals out loud, they are more likely to come true.  So, in addition to nearly SHOUTING my goals from my balcony (sorry, neighbors) I am putting them out there on the internet world.  Just for an extra boost of goal setting karma.

1.  A wedding in Key West at the Hemingway House.  Like I said earlier, I grew up in the Keys.  I remember visiting the Hemingway house and falling in love with the home and it’s gardens.  Hemingway penned some of his most famous novels in the rooms of this house, which is the perfect venue for literary couples.  The couple that firsts books with me at the Hemingway house will receive a complimentary 16×20 canvas or an 8×8 press album.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue with a paid deposit.

2.  A wedding on Cumberland Island.  This little island off the coast of Georgia captured my heart years ago.  The ruins of Dungeness, an old Carnegie estate, are surrounded by mature oak trees, wild horses, and rich history.  The couple that firsts books with me on Cumberland Island will receive a complimentary 16×20 canvas or an 8×8 press album.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue with a paid deposit.

3.  A wedding at the Audubon House in Key West.  Built in the 1840s, this historic home boast orchid filled trees, antique copper lanterns in the garden, and a host of wonderful historic Key West elements.  I can tell you from (second hand!) experience, there is nothing more fun than walking down Duval street in your wedding dress listening to the crowds of people cheering you on!  The couple that firsts books with me at the Audubon House will receive a complimentary 16×20 canvas or an 8×8 press album.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue with a paid deposit.

4.  A winter wedding.  Winters in Florida are not really winters.  It’s more like a mild Autumn anywhere else in the world.  With that said, I’d really like to shoot bridal portraits in the snow.  Please, brides, if you have a love for winter landscapes, let me know!  The first couple that books a winter wedding (in a locale that almost guarantees snow…) will receive a complimentary 16×20 canvas or an 8×8 press album.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue with a paid deposit.

5.  An elopement.  Elopements are a little slice of wedding heaven.  Elopement literally means to run away and not come back, and I can’t think of anything more romantic than running away with the one you love to commit to spending your lives together.  The first couple that books me for an elopement will receive a complimentary 50 complimentary announcement cards or a 10×10 press print album.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue (if applicable) with a paid deposit, and are responsible for all travel costs.

6.  A wedding in the mountains.  Any mountains.  (Preferably in Tennessee or Colorado)  The first couple that books a mountain wedding will receive 10% off any package.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue with a paid deposit, and are responsible for all travel costs.

7.  A destination wedding in Costa Rica.  If you can make this happen, I’ll be your best friend.  The first couple that books a Costa Rican wedding will receive 10% off Package A, 15% off Package B, or 25% off Package C.  You must already have a contract signed with a venue with a paid deposit, and are responsible for all travel costs.

For more details on how to make one of these wishes come true, fill out the contact form above.  The first couple to put a deposit and signed contract down gets the discounted rates. For venues, you must already have a signed contract and deposit with them before booking us, we will ask to see proof so please bring a copy to your meeting. Changes in the venue or date must be in writing and we reserve the right to honor or rescind any discount or offer or deal at the time.
