This new series, Vendor Spotlight, begins with one of my favorite wedding venues in Jacksonville: The Keeler Property. Originally land used for harvesting lumber for a paper company, this venue is now a highly sought after location for rustic weddings in the Jacksonville area.
It all began when Diana, the property manager, was looking for a location for her wedding. “I was driving down the road when I saw my partner building this barn (now the reception hall). I talked him into letting me hold my wedding here, and that night, we struck up a deal and went into business!” Three years later, the Keeler Property hosts about 40 weddings a year.
The ceremony is held in a beautiful arched bridge, which is transformed into a chapel on the wedding day. Couples walk down the center aisle, and are married under a lovely grape vine.
The receptions site, a beautiful red barn with 5 large, sliding doors and plenty of natural light, can fit over 300 people, which is a perfect size for ANY wedding party.
A new addition to the barn is a bridal suite, where the bridal party can relax and prepare for the day without worrying about transportation between locations.
While there is not a location for grooms to get ready, they are welcome to wander onto the property before the ceremony with their fishing poles and relax by the property’s expansive lake.
My favorite thing about the Keeler Property is the variety of portrait locations! This little private road into the woods has a TON of potential for bridal party and couple portraits.
Diana encourages couples to use the property’s day of coordination services. “It’s one less thing to worry about”, she says. Because the Keeler Property is only available for weddings, you know they are great at what they do!
