I remember being little and wondering what it would be like to live inside a castle. Not like as a princess, but just to live in an old castle, in today’s world. I had a lot of weird thoughts as a kid… I was lucky enough recently to shoot a West Martello wedding in Key West this year, and I think this venue is the closest thing we have to a castle in the Keys. It’s part of an old fort, and is the current site of the Key West Garden Club. So, not only is it a really kick ass historical site, it’s also lush and maintained by people who really understand the native flora of the Keys. It’s worth checking out, even if you aren’t looking for a wedding venue.
How gorgeous are these photo by Duarte Floral Design? I love the contrast of the delicate florals and the hanging greenery. They always knock it out of the park!
I’m not going to lie, it was the hottest friggin’ day in May. Gorgeous, but H-O-T. Carolyn and Eric managed to still look good despite melting through their ceremony!
I don’t typically include family photos in my blog posts, but this family was so sweet. I could really see the love they have for one another…so I thought you all should, too!
Destination Wedding Studio did an outstanding job with the reception details. Peggy and her team can always be counted on, and I highly recommend them to any couple.
I will never get tired of these photos of Carolyn and Eric walking into their reception. The pure joy on Carolyn’s face as she sees all of her closest friends and family gathered in one place is truly incredible.
