Kiley and Ryan are legit ADORABLE and the three of us had a total blast together. I’m so glad we chose to have a Fort Zachary Taylor engagement session. Fort Zach is one of my favorite places in Key West (my husband and I were married there!). All in one place, there’s the historic fort, the beach, a few trails, and the Truman Annex homes right around the corner. It’s perfect
First, we spent some time walking around Truman Annex. Truman Annex is filled with traditional Key West style homes, and they are so well manicured, it’s like walking through a Southern Homes and Gardens magazine.
As you can probably tell, lot’s of laughs were had 😉
Once the sun started to go down, we headed over to the Fort for some more romantic photos. We walked the trails a bit before heading over to the beach to climb the rock jetty.
Y’all when I tell you it was windy that day, I mean it was WIN-DY. Somehow we managed to pull off photos without getting blown away, but there were legit rollers in the water. Largest waves I’ve seen in Key West outside of hurricane season.
Luckily, Kiley and Ryan were adventurous enough to climb out onto the rocks for these photos. It can be kind of sketchy to climb out there, but I would say the results are well worth it, don’t you agree?
If you’re considering having your engagement session in the Keys, I highly recommend a Fort Zachary Taylor engagement session. With such a great variety of settings all within one place, it’s really worth it to get the most out of your time.
