A Garden-Inspired Wedding at
Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club

There are weddings where the design is beautiful, and then there are weddings where every element feels entirely connected to the people at the center of it.
Delaney and Brandon’s wedding at Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club in Boca Raton was the latter.

Set against the club’s lush grounds and waterfront setting, their celebration felt like a garden brought indoors—layered, romantic and incredibly intentional, without ever feeling overdone. Delaney envisioned a palette of fresh greens and soft whites, allowing the natural beauty of Royal Palm to become part of the design rather than competing with it.
And the result was spectacular.
Working alongside The Golden Pineapple Event Company, the spaces were transformed with abundant florals by Kaleidoscope Floral, candlelight, beautiful linens and thoughtful custom details woven throughout the evening. The design had movement to it: branches reaching upward, flowers spilling naturally from their vessels, greenery softening the architecture and candlelight glowing between it all.
It felt sophisticated, but never too perfect. Romantic, but still modern.
Exactly the kind of wedding I love to photograph.
A Wedding That Felt Personal
Delaney and Brandon grew up in the same neighborhood and had known of one another for years before their relationship eventually became something more. After college brought Delaney back to Florida, their friendship evolved—and years later, Brandon proposed at her family’s lake house in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina.
Choosing Royal Palm for their wedding felt just as personal. Delaney had always imagined being married at the club, a place already connected to her life and family.
That familiarity gave the entire day a sense of ease.
Before the ceremony, Delaney and Brandon exchanged their vows privately. It was one of those quiet pieces of a wedding day that almost feels removed from everything happening around it—just the two of them, before the doors open and the celebration begins.
Those in-between moments are often my favorites to photograph.
Delaney’s Bridal Look
Delaney wore a sculptural Berta gown from Chic Parisien that felt perfectly at home within the wedding’s aesthetic—romantic but fashion-forward, with just enough drama.
Against the clean architecture and tropical greenery of Royal Palm, the look photographed beautifully.
Rather than approaching the portraits as simply a checklist of photographs, we used the property as part of the story: strong architectural lines, soft garden spaces, movement, light and those brief unscripted moments between Delaney and Brandon.
The result is a collection that feels equal parts editorial and personal.
Lush Green-and-White Wedding Design
The reception design may have been one of my favorite elements of the entire day.
Kaleidoscope Floral created an immersive garden atmosphere using layers of white blooms and greenery that felt organic rather than overly structured. The florals climbed, draped and filled the room without overwhelming it, while hundreds of points of candlelight made everything feel warm once evening arrived.
One of the most beautiful things about the design was its restraint.
There wasn’t a competing palette or an excess of trends. Instead, the room relied on texture, scale and thoughtful composition—greenery, white flowers, elegant tabletop details and soft light.
Throughout the wedding, Delaney and Brandon’s custom monogram appeared in subtle ways, from their stationery to reception details, a custom mailbox, pillows, an ice sculpture and their wedding cake.
These small repetitions made the design feel cohesive without making it feel themed.
The Celebration
After the ceremony, Delaney and Brandon took a few minutes completely to themselves.
Champagne in hand, newly married, they had a moment to actually take in what had just happened before joining everyone at cocktail hour.
I wish every couple would do this.
Wedding days move incredibly quickly, and there is something special about intentionally carving out five minutes where no one needs anything from you. No photographs to take. No guests to greet. No timeline to think about.
Just: we’re married.
From there, the evening shifted effortlessly into celebration.
Dinner, emotional speeches, packed dance floors and the kind of wonderfully chaotic late-night photographs that tell you everything you need to know about how much fun everyone was having.
The formal beauty of the early evening gradually gave way to something looser and more energetic—which is exactly how I want a wedding gallery to feel.
Not like hundreds of versions of the same photograph, but a complete progression of the day.
Featured by Inside Weddings
I was especially thrilled to see Delaney and Brandon’s celebration featured by Inside Weddings.
The feature felt like such a natural home for this wedding: beautifully considered design, meaningful personal details and a celebration that was elegant without losing its sense of joy.
More than anything, though, I keep coming back to the quieter photographs from this day.
Delaney getting ready. The anticipation just before the ceremony. Private vows. Brandon looking at her when she wasn’t paying attention. Champagne immediately after becoming husband and wife.
The flowers and design were extraordinary.
But those moments are the reason the photographs matter.
