Emily and Andrew decided on an Islamorada elopement and came all the way from the UK to do it! It was a little cloudy that day, but to be honest I kind of prefer cloudy days to super bright ones when it comes to photos. Usually, the clouds make for some really flattering light! Check it out for yourself…

Honestly I cannot get enough of legit elopements. Just the bride and groom, officiant, and myself. A total secret, so romantic. Don’t get me wrong, I am loving the micro-wedding trend that has been taking off for a few years – especially now in our COVID world…but there is something about a private exchange of vows that just does it for me.

One of the things that made this Islamorada elopement special was the venue. It’s a small little property, very quaint, with the most gorgeous ocean views. It’s totally unassuming from the street, which makes it almost like a hidden gem! The property manager is also the officiant for elopements there, so it makes a perfect one-stop-shop for smaller weddings.

Emily’s veil was breathtaking. I know they aren’t as popular anymore, but PLEASE consider a long veil, even if it’s just for a few photos. They are so timeless and look STUNNING in the breeze.

Gentlemen, you cannot go wrong with a blue fitted suit. Ever.

Now, my favorite photos of the day! The sunset on the opposite side of the island, which was a bummer, but the water and clouds more than made up for it. Don’t you think they add to the romance? Maybe that’s just me…
