As a Florida Keys wedding photographer, I pride myself in helping my couples decide on the perfect location for their wedding day. If you’re not from the area, it can be a little difficult to figure out what would be the best fit for you, so I’ve put together a list of the best Florida Keys wedding venues.
Cheeca Lodge

If I ever get married again, Cheeca Lodge will 100% be a contender. Not only is the actual venue perfect for couples looking for that tropical vibe, but the staff goes above and beyond for every event. Each corner of the resort looks like it belongs in the pages of Conde Nast Traveler, so there will be no shortage of photo options. Plus, some of the best fishing in the Keys happens right off the shores of Cheeca Lodge!
Casa Marina

Have you always dreamed of having that perfect sunset beach wedding? I’ve photographed countless weddings here, and nothing compares to the breathtaking view of the sunset as couples say “I do”. Casa Marina was actually built in the 1920s by Henry Flagler, so if you’re looking for a venue that has more of a historical architecture feel, this one is definitely worth checking out. Not to mention, you can do everything at this venue. From getting ready for the ceremony to partying your heart out at the reception, Casa Marina does it all! You can even take photos around the area for even more variety if you wanted because everything is so beautiful. The venue is perfect for the couple looking for serious romance vibes. Check out this blog post to see what I’m talking about!
Hemingway Home

Another gorgeous historical venue, the Hemingway home was literally built and lived in by Ernest Hemingway. How cool is that?? Aside from the six-toed Hemingway cats that occupy the residence, this venue is super private and ultra-secluded, it’s actually completely gated. If privacy is important to you, I would highly suggest this one. And if you want to see this venue in action, click here to see one of my favorite weddings I’ve shot at the Hemingway Home.
Baker’s Cay

This luxury resort in Key Largo is perfect for elopements, small weddings, traditional weddings, and everything in between. With 12 different venues to choose from, you will have no problem finding the perfect one for you, your partner, and your guests. Did I mention that this venue is on a 15-acre property, situation right on top of a pineapple plantation? You heard that right, Baker’s Cay is truly the definition of nature-inspired elegance. It couldn’t be more picturesque! Perfect for the boho couple that loves attention to detail.
Morada Bay

You will not find a better view of the sunset in the Keys! You can check out this gorgeous wedding here, and if that doesn’t convince you to book this venue, I don’t know what will. If you book The Beach Cafe at Morada Bay, the beach, bar, and restaurant are closed to the public and completely reserved for you and your guests. After dinner, everyone can relax at the beach or bar (or both!) and enjoy the sunset to end the night. Plus…I can’t lie, the food is killer.
Moorings Village

Private cottages, hammocks, green, lush scenery, what more could you ask for? I absolutely love the relaxed, tropical feel of the Moorings, and the landscape could not be any more beautiful. The ocean is just a step away from your cottage, so this venue is perfect if you want to stay a few days before or after your wedding to prepare/wind down. Also not sure if you’re Netflix obsessed like I am, but this is where Bloodline was filmed, y’all.
Audubon House

When you get married at the Audubon House, you’re not just booking the venue of your dreams. You’re also getting access to the beautiful, tropical, lush (and almost secret!) gardens that surround this venue. These gardens are home to over 200 blooming orchids, numerous native and exotic trees, and just the right amount of breathtaking birds and butterflies. You hardly have to bring any decorations for your day, because the venue is just naturally that gorgeous. If you get stressed out easily and want more of a relaxed wedding day timeline, the Audubon House offers earlier arrival times than most venues. This venue is perfect for couples that love the outdoors.
Hawks Cay

Okay, this venue is seriously Florida’s little piece of paradise. Hawk’s Cay offers both indoor and outdoor venues, making it the perfect spot for your wedding ceremony and reception. They have so many different options based on what view you’d want to see, so there’s definitely something for everyone here. Whether your guest count is 10 people or 300, Hawk’s Cay has options for intimate and more traditional, bigger weddings. Ready to envision your wedding here?
