Mackensie and Garrett were supposed to get married at Casa Marina Key West in April. Mackensie called me in September to tell me that there was a surprise headed their way in March, and they were hoping to reschedule to January. Not a problem! I was available and had actually just found out about a surprise of my own, due in April! It worked out perfectly.
I know I’ve said this a million times, but Casa Marina Key West is one of my favorite wedding venues because you literally don’t have to leave the venue for ANYTHING. Getting ready there is a breeze because the rooms all have gorgeous light. The ceremony on the beach is always perfect. The ballrooms aren’t dated and ugly. Walking around property gives you PLENTY of choices for portraits. Plus (and most importantly) the food is delicious.
King Proteas FOREVER.
Right outside Casa Marina is a gorgeous wall of bougainvillea that, when in bloom, are PACKED with color. It’s one of my favorite spots in Key West and I always suggest it as the first look location for my clients getting married at Casa Marina Key West.
Doing a first look allows you to get ALL of the portraits done before the ceremony, so you can just get right to the park after you say ‘I do’. We snuck out for a few sunset photos, but all the family and bridal party portraits were finished before even walking down the aisle!
I LOVED these bold florals for the ceremony, because Duarte Florals did a fantastic job, as usual!
Y’all…Mackensie dropped Garrett’s ring. I nearly died. She found it, but it nearly stopped my heart!
[…] is so beautiful. The venue is perfect for the couple looking for serious romance vibes. Check out this blog post to see what I’m talking […]
