This Florida private estate microwedding was absolutely PACKED with love. Emily and Rob had to undergo quite a bit in order to make this wedding happen. But let me tell you, it was all 100% worth it. I can’t wait for your to see their photos and hear their story.
E + R originally planned for a big, traditional, Florida Keys wedding back in May of 2020. Unfortunately because of COVID, they weren’t able to go through with their original plan, but still had their closest friends and family present! The rest of their guests were thankfully able to attend via Zoom. Despite not having the wedding they had been planning for over a year, Emily and Rob were just so excited to finally be married to each other.
An emotional one for the books
I promise you, there was not ONE dry eye in the audience (physical and virtual) when Emily and Rob were exchanging their vows. Not to mention, their dog Marley walked down the aisle with Rob and watched mom and dad say “I do” to each other, which was THE cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I may have even teared up a little bit.
One of Rob’s co-workers and personal friend ended up officiating the wedding which was extremely special in itself. In all honesty, it started out as a joke, and then Steve *actually* got ordained just to be able to officiate! Rob 100% plans on returning the favor by officiating Steve’s wedding when he gets married in the spring. How adorable is that??
Emily is actually an event manager at Cheeca Lodge (one of my favorite venues here in The Keys!) and Rob is in the Coast Guard. They were stationed in Islamorada a few years back and ended up falling absolutely in love with the island life! And to showcase their dedication to it, they even walked down the aisle barefoot. I love weddings that really showcase the Florida Keys personality!
